The Coffee Barun is a trendy and extremely popular suburban cafe located on busy Main North Road specialising in ethically traded beans.
With plenty of customers daily, the place is spacious yet filled with warmth and lively chatter and gives off a vibrant, charming feeling.
A large room next door to the dining area is dedicated to roasting the different variants of coffee beans sourced from all over the world.
Weak mocha. The mocha was beautifully balanced with a smooth and creamy texture.
Mexican breakfast. Scrambled eggs topped with chilli tomato purée, house made jalapeño corn bread, fresh avocado and corn salsa. I also added chorizo on the side.
The eggs were soft and fluffy with a gentle creaminess. The corn bread was short, buttery and crumbly with a surprising amount of heat and the chorizo was juicy with a nice amount of saltiness, although I would’ve liked more spice.
A real family friendly cafe with a designated play area filled with toys and books to keep the kids occupied while waiting for the food to come out.
The Coffee Barun are kings of coffee and are always highly praised for their coffee making skills and their range of beans.
