Lord Of The Fries
Lord Of The Fries is an ethical fast food restaurant serving up the best hot chips and award winning vegetarian burgers and hot dogs. They source local food inspired by international flavours.
The venue is small and cosy with a laid back atmosphere reminding me of a retro style diner and giving off a cool and fun vibe.
Phish burger. Cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce, tartare sauce and veg fish patty. The burger was very similar in flavour to a McDonald’s fillet o fish apart from the lettuce and the veg fish patty actually tasted like real fish.
The lot munch box. Nuggets, onion rings and shoe string fries. The nuggets were a little chewy in texture but had a crisp outside and great flavour. The onion rings were quite heavy and a little greasy for my liking while the fries were light, crisp and crunchy.
Vegan chocolate. The chocolate was rich on the palate and had a smooth, deep and creamy flavour.
Lord Of The Fries do amazing tasting fast food that contain no animal products whatsoever.
This was my first time eating mock meat products and I can say I was thoroughly impressed. The taste, smell and texture were superbly similar to real meat. If I was not a ravenous carnivore I probably would not have been able to tell the difference.
