La Boca Bar And Grill
La Boca Bar And Grill is a modern Argentinean restaurant located within the Stamford Plaza Hotel.
The venue is very spacious with an extravagant open kitchen, several long communal tables and large booths all in a rich dark wood giving it a sophisticated, cool and moody atmosphere.
Launching La Boca Up Late they have live entertainment and a variety of Argentinean drinks and finger food on the menu up until the early hours of the morning.
The sangria was beautifully refreshing and light on the palate. It had a really good balance of tart with a hint of sweetness from the fruit. The best sangria I have tasted in Adelaide and the most authentic.
Calamar a la parilla. Chargrilled squid in a garlic, parsley and chilli marinade. The squid had a lovely smokey flavour and the chilli marinade was wonderfully aromatic and spicy. I loved the concept of it being served in a shot glass. It was vibrant and visually very appealing.
Hamburguesitas de lechon desmenusado. Trio of gourmet pulled pork sliders. The pork was soft and tender while the mayonnaise provided a rich creaminess.
Tabla de quesos. SA local Adelaide Hills cheese board accompanied by house made lavosh and fresh berry mix. A good variety of textures and flavours. My favourite was the blue cheese which was sharp but not overpowering.
Fresh raspberries dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkled with desiccated coconut. The raspberries were fresh and tart and complimented the rich and deep flavours of the dark chocolate.
Chocolate mousse. Rich, smooth and deliciously creamy. The gold leaf added a touch of class and luxury.
La Boca Bar And Grill have done a great job in revamping themselves to stay on trend with Adelaide’s demand of late night dining venues and will be a buzzing with the live entertainment.
