Bricks And Stones
Bricks And Stones is beautiful little cafe located inside another one of Adelaide’s heritage buildings in the suburb of Unley. The space has been restored to its natural state exposing brick walls inside giving the place a lovely warm cosy cottage feeling.
My weak mocha was lovely with a good combination of chocolate and coffee. The milk was nicely steamed with a thin layer of creamy froth on top.
None of the juice combinations on the menu interested me but they were so lovely and kind enough to allow me to choose my own combination. Freshly squeezed orange and kiwi juice.
Wakey bakey. Baked eggs in chilli napolitana sauce with chorizo, fetta, fresh basil and toast. The eggs were perfectly baked and delicious rich egg yolk burst out as soon as I cut into them. The tomato sauce was nicely balanced and I loved the spiciness from the combination of chilli and chorizo. Fresh basil complimented the tomato sauce perfectly.
I wanted something sweet after my meal but none of the cakes in the display cabinet appealed to me so I ordered a serve of pancakes off the menu instead.
Blueberry pancakes with caramelised bananas, salted caramel, spiced orange, fresh strawberries and mascarpone. A generous stack of gorgeous light and fluffy pancakes studded with fresh blueberries paired with smooth salted caramel sauce, fresh fruit and creamy mascarpone was divine. I didn’t finish it because the serving was so big and I was so full! But they were yummy nonetheless.
Bricks And Stones serves delicious food in a cosy and inviting atmosphere. They are definitely an up and coming cafe that will be super popular in no time so get in quick before all of Adelaide discovers this cool place. If you do plan on visiting the entrance is on Arthur Street just off Unley Road.
