A Mothers Milk
A Mothers Milk is one of Adelaide’s coolest cafes specialising in boutique coffee. The place is decked out with lots of industrial furnishings and the bright and colourful graffiti style wall art gives the place an urban and funky atmosphere.
This place is very popular and is always super busy especially on weekends but I never have to wait long for a table. There is also always quite a line up for takeaway coffee too.
My weak mocha was still very strong despite asking for weak but the milk was steamed very well and had really good texture. The froth was also really nice and creamy.
Apple, pineapple and pear juice. Sweet and refreshing freshly squeezed juice.
Pulled pork burger. 12 hour smoked pork shoulder, red cabbage slaw, pickles, rocket and jalapeño aioli on a brioche bun. The pulled pork was so incredibly soft, moist and juicy. The coleslaw was crunchy and the jalapeño aioli was super spicy. The brioche bun was nice and soft and held the filling very well. I loved the spiciness of the jalapeños and it really made the dish so much more interesting.
They also had a range of freshly baked goods on display but I was really full from lunch so I bought something for later. I didn’t feel like anything too rich or indulgent so I chose an orange friand.
Orange friand. The friand was really moist and nutty. Perfect for a light afternoon treat.
A Mothers Milk is one of the hippest cafes. They do delicious food and great coffee. For coffee connoisseurs and those who like to try something different they have an assortment of coffee blends on offer daily and a variety of ways to serve them.
